Over the past 16 years I have had the privilege of working with amazing clients and families throughout my various Social Work roles. I value the time spent learning from and with my clients and the relationships I have been fortunate enough to build.

Therapeutic Approach:
I utilize an integrated approach to counselling, drawing from therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Sex Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). All sessions are tailored to meet the specific and individual needs of each client and approaches are determined based on the needs of the client. I practice from a person-centered approach and value the strength of a positive and supportive therapeutic relationship in helping clients reach their therapeutic goals and healing.

About Me:
My name is Amanda Peddle and I am a Registered Social Worker who holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) Degree, a Bachelors of Social Work (Honors) Degree and a Master of Social Work Degree. I have been practicing Social Work for 16 years and have engaged in various roles during this time. I have been a counsellor for over 6 years, including over 4 years providing counselling with Power Counselling and Wellness. When I am not working, I am fully immersed in my role as a parent. I also enjoy quiet time with my family, reading, music, and catching up with friends. I consider myself a lifelong learner and spend free time researching theories, therapeutic approaches, and upcoming trainings I hope to engage in. I am currently pursuing additional training to build skills in play therapy.
