Who I Work With: Individuals Ages 4+ and up, Families, Parents/Co-parents, Couples.

Fees: Individual fee $150 (individual) / $180 (families & couples).

Sessions: In-person and virtual. Mid-afternoon, evening and Saturday availability. Daytime availability can be arranged with advance notice. 

Insurance: Direct billing with Blue Cross and most providers covered through Telus Health. Approved provider for EFAP with NLTA and Public Service Commission. 

What I Help With:
Experience and interest in working with a range of general mental health and work related issues, such as stress and anxiety, symptoms of depression, interpersonal challenges, thoughts of suicide, chronic illness and health crisis, grief/traumatic grief and loss, substance use and behavioural addictions, issues related to parenting/co-parenting, managing transitions, and those wishing to improve their overall wellbeing. I have a special interest in working with families, parents and co-parents, members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and their families, and individuals who self identify with, are exploring neuro-diversity or are recently diagnosed.

Therapeutic Approach: I was trained in and integrate a variety of approaches to best address your needs and preferred approach to counselling, including play therapy, solution-focused, psycho-dynamic, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)/ cognitive behaviour play therapy (CBPT), sand tray, attachment-focused, emotion-focused, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), internal family systems (IFS), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), mindfulness based approaches, and motivational enhancement therapy (MET). I am very much a client focused clinician. Together, we’ll identify what you hope to experience in counselling and the process and pace that you are most comfortable with. I believe it is essential to build a therapeutic relationship and collaborate together on therapy goals.

About me:  I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor, Certified Play Therapist, EMDR Sand-tray Specialist and EMDR Child Specialist with both a bachelor's honours and a master's degree in Psychology from Memorial University. I have specialized training and certification in addictions and am also a Naturopath (ND). I enjoy helping and guiding individuals of all ages. I am thankful for the opportunities that I have had to work in a variety of diverse work settings and practice areas which have provided me with a strong appreciation of our own unique paths to healing, health and wellness. When I am not working, I enjoy spending quiet time with family and friends, in nature, and creating.
